10-Lane Installation in Morrilton, AR: Lanes Reopened After Being Closed for 13 Years

We were a part of the reopening of Playland Skating and Bowling in the city of Morrilton, Arkansas. The project was a special one not only for us, but for the entire community of Morrilton, AR, as it reintroduced a long-standing entertainment and social venue from years past.

The Project

After being closed for 13 years, we were hired by the City of Morrilton to help bring bowling back to life at the Playland Skating and Bowling establishment. The old alley was purchased by the city and transformed into its current form. We were so honored to be a part of the transformation. Also, the establishment now features a ten-lane bowling alley, a skating rink, an arcade, and a café. All of which offer a fun, family-friendly environment.

We completed a 10-lane bowling installation which included new ball returns and racks, bumpers, freshly screened and coated lanes, Funk’s proprietary string pinsetters, scoring systems and more. We were able to bring this bowling venue back to life with a modern and exciting bowling experience that now offers a new entertainment option to the city and neighboring towns.

Award for Best Modernized Family Entertainment Center

This project won the “Best Modernized FEC/Hybrid Center/Boutique” in the Bowling Center Management’s (BCM) 2023 Bowling Center Architecture and Design Awards. The award acknowledged our ability to modernize an existing Family Entertainment Center (FEC) and create a hybrid center that incorporated multiple entertainment options.
